The Calgary Flames had the chance to book their spot in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Friday night, but they failed to close things out in a 4-2 loss to the Dallas Stars. Now, it's a crucial Game 7 back in Alberta on Sunday, with their season on the line.

The Flames, who were one of the top teams in the Western Conference this season, have lost in the first round in their last three appearances in the playoffs. A lot of this roster is hoping to finally get over the hump, including star forward Elias Lindholm. He is feeling extremely confident however that Calgary can get it done on home ice.

Via Yahoo Sports:

It's hard to win the last one and obviously a lot of us haven't been past the first round,” Flames forward Elias Lindholm said. “Hopefully we get it done Sunday.

“That's why we fought so hard all year, to have home ice in Game 7. We're in a good spot, so we've just got to regroup and come back with a better effort on Sunday. We've got find a way to score more than two goals.”

The Flames had a lot of scoring chances. 38 total shots translated to only two goals, Michael Stone and Mikael Backlund both finding the back of the net. They desperately need Lindholm and Johnny Gaudreau to find their scoring touch in Game 7, with the latter only bagging one goal in the series after putting up 40 goals and 75 assists during the season.

The pressure is on. With the home crowd behind them, let's hope the Flames can steer clear of another early exit.
