Floyd Mayweather fires back at Logan Paul, vows to destroy him like Conor McGregor
The war of words has officially begun, and at this point, it appears that a boxing match between undefeated champ Floyd Mayweather and YouTube sensation Logan Paul is brewing. And somehow, former UFC champion Conor McGregor has been dragged into the conversation.
Logan Paul kicked off the messy exchange, stating how he has no doubt as to what the outcome would be if he had the opportunity to go toe-to-toe against the boxing legend:
“If I caught Floyd with one punch — one punch — I would snap this f**ker in half,” Paul bragged, via TMZ Sports.
It did not stop there. Paul even went on to say that he’d much prefer to fight Mayweather outside the four corners of the ring:
“If I caught Floyd in a real fight, street fight, whoop his ass! No question,” he added.
Floyd Mayweather caught wind of the disrespectful comments, and took to Twitter to respond to Paul’s jabs:
“These YouTube girls better find some Barbie dolls to play with cause I’m not the one for the kid games. 3 years ago a fighter from the UFC said my name and I had to put a muzzle on that bitch. [Logan Paul] can get the same treatment before I go conquer Japan again,” he wrote in his tweet.
Has Floyd Mayweather actually accepted Paul’s challenge here? He earlier announced that he is set to perform in an exhibition match in Japan in February of 2021 against an currently unnamed opponent, and by saying that he might deal with Paul before that, does this mean that a fight could ensue in the next month or so?
This is typically on-brand for both Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather, with both men more than willing to hype a fight — regardless if it’s actually going to go down.
