Floyd Mayweather still has a date with YouTuber Logan Paul to worry about, but that's not stopping him from dreaming of a showdown against Billy Joe Saunders. According to a report by Emma Parry of The Sun, Mayweather's camp has discussed the possibility of the fight but there's a big caveat: the Brit has to pass his test first against Canelo Alvarez this Saturday if this fight against Mayweather is to turn into a reality.

“Floyd is considering a return to professional boxing and wants to fight Billy Joe Saunders,” the source said.

The odds are already stacked against Saunders landing a match with Mayweather. For one, he's a huge underdog against Alvarez, with only a few believing that he could pull off an upset against the Mexican champion. But Saunders isn't just a tourist in America plucked out of a bar to serve as a glorified punching bag for Alvarez. Saunders is an undefeated boxer who also happens to own the WBO super middleweight belt.

Should Saunders upset Alvarez, he'd walk out of the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas with also the WBA, WBC, and The Ring titles. The picture of Saunders wearing all those belts seems too tempting for Mayweather that he's reportedly flirting with the idea of coming out of retirement and fight a bona fide, non-YouTuber champion down the road.

Mayweather has won 15 world titles during his illustrious career in the ring. Many would likely want Mayweather to fight Alvarez instead if the latter wins this Saturday, but at the very least, that's a matchup people have already seen before.

Floyd Mayweather faced Alvarez back in 2013 in Las Vegas and emerged victorious in a close won, earning a majority decision win to retain his welterweight belts.
