The Philadelphia Flyers have endured a rough season. The Flyers currently sit in last place in the Metropolitan Division and are on a 13-game losing streak, just five shy of the NHL record. Needless to say, things are dire in Flyers nation right about now. However, the fans aren't the only ones who are mad. Chairman Dave Scott is furious about the Flyers' losing streak and made that much apparent with his words on Wednesday.

Flyers Chairman Dave Scott issued a brutally honest statement here. Scott said that “the whole organization is angry” about the Flyers' losing streak and that they are “sick of losing.”

While Philadelphia fans are probably feeling like Scott is all words and no talk, it is somewhat unusual for an owner/chairperson to be so candid about the state of affairs.

There's no doubting that the current state of affairs is bad. The Flyers' losing streak is the worst in franchise history and it is also their second streak of 10 losses or more this season.

Not only that, but it hasn't seemed to matter who Scott has appointed to coach the team, as they've been equally poor under the leadership of both former head coach Alan Vigneault and interim head coach Mike Yeo.

At least Chairman Dave Scott is as mad as the fans are about the Flyers' losing streak. That won't be enough though. This franchise is in need of change.
