NBA personalities, no matter how popular or recognizable they seem, are still normal people. They have the same needs as we do such as food, shelter, and protection.
Speaking of protection, take Rony Seikaly as an example. The former NBA player, who’s better remembered for being a member of the Miami Heat where he averaged 15.4 points and 10.4 rebounds, has recently become the victim of burglary.
Eurohoops.net reported a newspaper item about Seikaly’s house being intruded by professional thieves as he was vacationing in Greece.
According to newspaper “Proto Thema”, the burglars broke in Seikaly’s villa when he and his friends who hosts were absent. Their loot included cash, jewelry and watches of a 620.000 euros total value.
Luckily, it seems that Rony Seikaly was not harmed. Still, this should serve as a stern reminder to everyone, even famous athletes and personalities, to always be wary of their surroundings.
