Max Verstappen emerged victorious once again as the Red Bull driver beat out Lewis Hamilton to win the Styrian Grand Prix for another Formula 1 race win.

Hamilton spoke candidly about Verstappen outpacing him yet again in Red Bull's home race, as the Dutch driver was able to further increase his lead over the British star atop the F1 Driver's Championship standings.

“It was a bit of a lonely race,” the 7-time Formula 1 World Champion said. “I was trying to keep up with those guys but with the speed they have – they have obviously made some changes in the last couple of races. I feel we lose a lot of time down the straights.”

“I just to keep doing the best we can each weekend. We need to find some improvements, whether it’s upgrading the wing or engine, I don’t know.”

Mercedes hasn't been used to facing such stiff competition in recent years as they've thoroughly dominated their Formula 1 competition. But not only are they getting the fight taken to them by Red Bull this year, Hamilton and Co. find themselves lagging further and further behind as the F1 season progresses.

But for casual Formula 1 observers, the result is definitely a welcome sight regardless of allegiances. With Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes tasked to overcome adversity, how will they respond in the coming races? Can Max Verstappen and Red Bull keep them at bay until the final checkered flag is waved? That's why we watch the races, folks.
