Max Verstappen isn't always the cheery, excitable interviewee in Formula 1 seasons past. But with his recent run of success, particularly in winning back to back races in the Red Bull ring and three F1 race wins in a row, has him nothing short of thrilled.

The F1 Driver's Championship leader spoke to reporters after the race about how the race felt on his end.

Via The Guardian's Niall Mcveigh:

“It was really enjoyable to drive today. I’m a bit amazed myself how it went today. It’s not always easy to deliver when you’re the favourite. These two weeks have been incredible.”

Verstappen won the F1 race virtually unchallenged, leading from start to finish and leaving his Mercedes rival Lewis Hamilton in the dust. The 7-time world champion could only muster a 4th place finish after taking on floor damage during the race. Max Verstappen now holds a 32-point advantage over Hamilton.

The win marks fifth this season, and also gives the Red Bull star his 50th Formula 1 podium of his career. Given the fact that he's still just 23 years old, it's a safe bet he's bound to at least double, and maybe even triple or quadruple that mark as he gets more seasons under his belt.
