Miami hosted its first-ever Formula 1 event on Sunday, with the debut Miami Grand Prix drawing some of the biggest names in sports to the crowd to watch the action. The race did not disappoint, and fans certainly got their money's worth as superstar Red Bull driver Max Verstappen cruised to the finish line in first place, taking home the win at the first-ever Miami Grand Prix.

Verstappen rode a comfortable lead to victory, coming in ahead of a pair of Ferrari drivers in Charles LeClerc and Roman Sainz, who placed second and third respectively. Verstappen's Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez placed fourth, followed by the Mercedes tandem of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton.

Five cars failed to finish, including McLaren's Lando Norris, Aston Martin's Sebastian Vettel, and AlphaTauri's Pierre Gasly, among others.

The win will see Verstappen narrow the gap between himself and Charles LeClerc atop the F1 standings, as Red Bull and Ferrari continue to battle it out for the top spot in Formula 1. Despite the Verstappen victory, it'll be Ferrari walking away with more points, as they had two podium finishes, while Perez finished fourth, missing out on the podium.

The Miami Grand Prix was a smashing success and Red Bull will be delighted that Verstappen came away with a win. The battle between Ferrari and Red Bull continues to heat up and the results on Sunday will only stand to fan the flames. Verstappen will be looking to defend his title next year when F1 returns to Miami.
