Looks like it’s time that Fortnite players took a little break from their favorite build battling game. Epic Games shuts down Fortnite after the crazy events that took place in Operation: Sky Fire.

Operation: Sky Fire event sends players to the mothership and sneaks their way through the invaders’ territory. Players encountered hostile aliens trying to stop everyone from sabotaging the invasion. Inside the mothership, everyone had to go through multiple sequences which gave us a platforming game vibe. The event felt like a level from Ratchet and Clank. As you progress through the mothership, the sequences become more intense with some nail-biting moments. Everyone’s goal in this event was to set bombs inside the ship to end the invasion once and for all.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 literally ended with a bang thanks to the explosion of the mothership. Not only that, but the explosion also caused some parts of the island to shatter into pieces. Looks like we’ll be seeing new POIs come Season 8.

After the events that took place in Operation: Sky Fire, Epic Games left us with a crazy cliffhanger. Literally after the explosion, a “to be continued” screen popped up followed by a countdown for Season 8. However, because of what took place, the entire server was temporarily shut down until the new season begins. We’re pretty sure everyone wants to know what happens next. All answers to our questions will surface come September 13, 2021, at 2 pm PT when Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8 launches.
