Just recently, we discussed how similar Fortnite’s new meta is, compared to Apex Legends. Looks like the battle royale island is going to become more like the Apex games with this certain feature, if these Fortnite leaks are true.

According to prominent Fortnite leaker HYPEX, a deployable reboot item could come to Fortnite in the near future. In the game’s code, the potential item’s codename is “Second Chance” which is the same as the reboot van. This entails that Fortnite will have a mobile reboot item similar to Apex’s Mobile Respawn Beacon. Neither Epic Games nor HYPEX provided any information as to when the deployable reboot item will come out. If it does end up coming to fruition, that'll definitely give players a huge assist in respawning allies.

Honestly, we’re not surprised that Fortnite is once again taking inspiration from their battle royale game competitor. The Reboot Van alone is a clear example of Epic Games “recreating” a similar feature from Apex Legends. Now with sliding, mantling, ziplining, and parkour-like theatrics within Fortnite, it feels like a cartoon version of Apex. We wouldn’t be surprised if Epic decides to add an LTM that has no fall damage. That would definitely be the icing on the cake.

A deployable reboot item will undeniably be a useful item in the game. Having this item will save players a lot of time from traveling across the map just to respawn their mates. Plus, matches could potentially last longer given that players can easily revive their mates at any given time. For now, let’s wait for further updates from Epic Games and hope that the deployable reboot item does come to Fortnite.
