During Chapter 3 Season 1, players saw the return of everyone’s favorite landmark Tilted Towers. The POI made its return in the January 18 patch for Fortnite, wherein the blankets of snow started melting. Sad to say, it looks like we might be saying goodbye once again to Tilted Towers.

Fortnite leaks suggest that an earthquake will be destroying Tilted Towers as we approach Chapter 3 Season 1’s conclusion. Fortnite leaker FortTory is speculating that the three craters surrounding the location could be a sign of doom. This goes hand in hand with the random cracks found in the battle royale island. These cracks are apparently caused by earthquakes that will eventually pass by this place according to several leakers.
Twitter user Koooooomar suggests that the three craters will be the root cause of the earthquake in Tilted Towers. He’s also suggesting that the earthquake cracks will take on a “U” shape surrounding the outskirts of Tilted. On the other hand, both FortniteBR and StreamFNBR suggest that the earthquake will destroy Tilted Towers entirely.
Whatever the case may be, it’s a shame to see its destruction once again. It quickly became one of Fortnite’s most popular drop zones for a reason. Having high-tier loot spawns and multiple spots to camp on, it’s no wonder Tilted became a fan favorite. We can definitely expect a lot of backlash from fans if Epic does decide to demolish Tilted Towers once more.
