Golden State Warriors forward David West has a job lined up waiting for him whenever he chooses to hang up his sneakers. Orlando Magic head coach Frank Vogel has been vocal about wanting his former Indiana Pacers player in his coaching staff once he's decided to call it a career, according to ESPN's Zach Lowe.

West is coming off his biggest game in a Warriors uniform, dropping 15 points, four rebounds, five assists, two blocks in a mere 22 minutes on the floor against his most recent former team, the San Antonio Spurs.

The Xavier standout's intense nature and his cerebral approach to the game make him a prime candidate for a coaching position. West displayed just that in a mixed bag of backdoor bounce passes, overhead lobs, and give-and-go deliveries that ended in point-blank layups against the best defense in the NBA.

Vogel would be wise to pair himself with a tough, gritty motivator like West who knows what it's like to grind his way to a starting spot, as well as excel within his role, no matter how large or small it is.

His 14 years and four different stops in the league have provided him with the experience and wisdom that it takes to lead a group of men, and to do so with another brilliant basketball mind like Vogel, who is attempting to shape a young roster into a winner.
