Former NFL All-Pro defensive tackle Damon “Snacks” Harrison is somehow still a free agent. However, it might not be that way for much longer.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Harrison is set to visit with the Seattle Seahawks next week along with receiving interest from several other teams.

Harrison has been considered one of the better defensive tackles in the NFL for a long time. His resume includes eight seasons in the NFL. Those eight seasons were split between the New York Jets, New York Giants and Detroit Lions.

In that time, he has racked up 48 tackles (37 for loss) and 11 sacks. Harrison also has 10 pass deflections and four forced fumbles. He's even recorded an interception in his career.

However, in the offseason he contemplated retirement. Maybe that is part of the reason some of the teams decided to steer clear of Harrison this offseason.

For what it is worth though, there is clearly still a lot left in the tank. Harrison was a first team All-Pro member back in 2016, had a career-high 3.5 sacks in 2018. Meanwhile, he tied a career-high in pass deflections with three in 2019.

It makes sense that the teams listed in Schefter's tweet are interested in the NFL defensive tackle. The Seahawks and Green Bay Packers are both seen as legitimate Super Bowl threats. At the same time, the Chicago Bears have been a surprising 2-0 team.

Yes, the Cincinnati Bengals are 0-2 at the moment, but they are a very young and exciting team. Adding a veteran star presence like Harrison could do wonders for that locker room and help them grow into winners.

For now, Harrison is still a free agent. It appears the interest in him is ramping up heavily, though. So don't expect that to be the case for much longer.

The only question now appears to be, who is going to sign him? It looks like the Seahawks have first dibs.
