Many have noticed that the issues remained as Miles Morales can transform into almost every texture. It remains a mystery if the developers intentionally left these glitches in order to market the game's meme worthy content.

Amid these glaring yet comedic problems that caused some fans to question their next generation status, the game received favorable reviews from the community and it even garnered two nominations for the 2020 Game Awards, which includes a Best Performance accolade for Nadji Jeter who portrayed Miles Morales as well as a Best Action/Adventure Game, competing against the likes of The Last of Us II and Ghost of Tsushima.
