Gearbox officially unveils Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, coming out Early 2022

E3 2021 unveiled a lot of new games and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is one of the most hype-inducing announcements that has been made during its first day.

The unstable Tiny Tina makes her, what she most likely would call, explosive return but this time it’s her very own game! That’s right, Gearbox and 2K Games have officially announced that the Borderlands’ spinoff looter-shooter title Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will be coming in early 2022. We've talked about rumors pointing towards this before, but it's great to finally hear official confirmation.

What to expect from Borderlands' Tiny Tina's Wonderland?

Gearbox’s Senior Producer Kayla Belmore mentioned that although the game will be sticking to the classic Gearbox-style looter-shooters, Wonderlands will be taking place in an all-new fantasy world environment with Wyverns and Goblins as your enemies which is doing away from Borderlands’ niche. The game is without a doubt inspired by that Borderlands 2 DLC called Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon’s Keep. What makes things even more awesome, it’s actually Tiny Tina’s very own standalone game with a completely new plot and set of characters. Wonderlands is most likely not canon to the Borderlands storyline. New players who have never played any of the Borderlands games can hop on and enjoy the game just as much as the OG fans.

Something that most players should be looking forward to is the fact that the game offers you the opportunity to create your very own character-filled multi-classes and full customization. Gearbox has never done this in any of their Borderlands games, so this is a huge and positive change for their franchise. Not only that, but the game will also be giving players the ability to cast magic and hack and slash. Sounds insane, right?

We hope to get more information and see more gameplay soon from this upcoming AAA-ame! It has been said that this game is actually 10 years in the making, so I guess it’s safe to say that the title will be nothing short of amazing. We can’t wait for Tiny Tina to “Make it RAAAAAAAIN!”
