Revealed in Genshin Impact’s 2.3 special program livestream, people are taken aback by the news of having a double-banner for the first time ever. In the first half of Version 2.3, officially known as Phase 1, two simultaneous banners will take place: Secretum Secretorum, featuring Albedo, and Born of Ocean Swell, featuring Eula.
Albedo’s rerun has been anticipated for quite some while, and while relatively unpopular, he fills a niche for Geo teams, while being just a consistently good Sub-DPS in his own right. However, this rerun is surprisingly met with unprecedented hype, since he is a perfect ally for the new character that follows this banner, Itto. Not only that, but Albedo gains access to a new artifact set and free full-refine weapon, which both skyrocket his damage, easily moving him to S tier.
Eula’s rerun is a massive surprise, since she first appeared much later than Ganyu or Xiao. Eula is an amazing Physical damage Main DPS, and her being Cryo only facilitates easier Superconduct application. She is very easy to build and doesn’t require specific allies to work, but if you managed to pull for Raiden Shogun, they are both an amazing pair especially for hardcore content.
The pity system works simultaneously for both banners. It’s a lengthy explanation, but to put it simply, you can pretend that both characters are in one single banner, but you can choose who to pull for at any time. The two banners will run for approximately three weeks, and both characters are great combatants who can carry their own weight in challenging situations.
