The Genshin Impact Lunar Realm fishing event is coming to Genshin Impact 2.1 soon. It will be the game's first in-game fishing event, to celebrate the addition of the fishing system to the game. It was first announced in the most recent Special Program. The official announcement reads:
“An Inazuman fisherwoman, Kujirai Momiji, has always wanted to catch a legendary great fish called the “Lunar Leviathan.” She plans to assemble all her old friends and embark on a journey to find it — and she invites you to join her. Will she attain her wish this time?”
Lunar Realm Fishing Event Date: September 10 – 20, 2021
Players aiming to participate in the event must be at least Adventure Rank 30. Additionally, they must have finished the “Ritou Escape Plan” Archon Quest, and have unlocked the Serenitea Pot System. They must also have completed the “Exploding Population” quest from Mondstadt's Nantuck.
The event will include various tasks, with a series of special fishing training among them. There will be different phases throughout the event that will be unlocked gradually over the first seven days. The special fishing training will involve activities such as catching specific types of fish under a given time limit.
Genshin Impact Lunar Realm Fishing Event Rewards
Aside from the event-exclusive Moonstringer fishing rod, players that participate in the event can also get various other rewards. These include primogems, which players may use to pull for character and weapon banners. Resources for upgrading weapons, characters, and artifacts will also be obtainable. Specifically: mora, Mystic Enhancement Ore, Sanctifying Unction, and Hero’s Wit. The event will also grant players a “Mysterious Fish Furnishing” that miHoYo hasn't revealed just yet.
