There's no doubt that Genshin Impact is full of surprises. It has a lot of adorable side-quests that can make your heart melt. One of the most recent ones released in Genshin Impact 2.1 is the Neko Is a Cat Questline, which involves helping out a shrine cat do some housekeeping. If you want to get some free primogems, then consider giving her a hand.
On Seirai Island, there is an abandoned shrine called the Asase Shrine. It used to be a shrine dedicated to the Electro Archon, but has since been abandoned because of the thunderstorms in the area. Ever since then, the Neko there, who apparently has been living for hundreds of years, proclaimed herself as the “Provisional Head Priestess of the Asase Shrine.” But as a cat, there isn't much she can do to upkeep the shrine. Hence, when the Traveler arrives there, she asks for her help. This is where the Neko Is a Cat Questline comes in, which you can accomplish for a total of 190 Free Primogems.
To do the quest, you first have to complete the Seirai Stormchasers: Part I quest, so that Neko will be available to give you this Quest. The Quest has the following subquests you'll have to finish:
- Neko Is a Cat: Offering Box
- Neko Is a Cat: Wooden Rack
- Neko Is a Cat: The Children
- Neko Is a Cat: Shrine Recipe
- Neko Is a Cat: Cat and Stone
- Neko Is a Cat: Stone Human's Troubles
- Neko Is a Cat: Shrine Canteen
- Neko Is a Cat: Ding-a-Ling Metal Ball
- Neko Is a Cat: A “Good Turn” Comes Late
Each quest doesn't take a whole lot of effort to complete. Most of the quests will give you 20 Primogems upon completion, except for the third one, which gives out 30 Primogems, for a total of 190 Free Primogems. However, you will have to wait for one real-world day before you can attempt the next quest in the questline, so be sure to check on the Neko at Asase Shrine often until you finish all of the quests.
