UFC 269 continues to add exciting fights with the addition of Geoff Neal against Santiago Ponzinibbio. The welterweights have long been circling each other and it appears they're finally set to face off.

ESPN was first to report the news. The fighters have both verbally agreed but the fight is not official yet.

Geoff Neal is coming off of two decision losses to Stephen Thompson and Neil Magny. The fights came after Neal had a health scare that almost cost him his life.

Geoff Neal will be looking to use his big power to beat Santiago Ponzinibbio and get back on track to where he was before. He had five straight victories in the UFC with all of them finishes except for the Belal Muhammad fight.

Santiago Ponzinibbio is coming off of his own health scare that almost saw him retire. He's had two fights since then with one KO loss and one decision victory in a very exciting fight.

Ponzinibbio will be looking to put on another exciting display and get himself close to a title shot like he was in 2018 after his win over Neil Magny. He's always had excellent striking and he's knocked out some solid contenders.

The matchup sees Geoff Neal put his excellent kickboxing and big power to the test against Santiago Ponzinibbio who has big power himself as well as excellent boxing. Matchup wise this fight is expected to be very exciting.

UFC 269 is a stacked card that has another exciting welterweight fight in Jorge Masvidal vs Leon Edwards. The event is currently set for December 11 with a venue and location yet to be announced by the UFC.
