The No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs have been getting it done with their suffocating defense all season long. One week after another they have continued to bottle up opposing offenses. Their own offense has been good in its own right but has been missing starting quarterback JT Daniels since September 25th when Georgia hammered Vanderbilt.

In Week 9, Georgia will take on Florida in a massive rivalry game. Per 247sports, Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart updated his quarterback situation heading into the contest.

“It's going to be based on practice. No decision has been made, whatsoever. He (JT Daniels) did practice Wednesday and did pretty good, and he practiced Thursday and did well, in terms of not having pain before, during, or after. That's what we're looking for. Is it bothering you today? No. Can you throw today? Yes. Did you throw today? Yes. How does it feel after? No pain. Again, we will continue down that same path today, and see how he feels.”

Smart's wording sounds different than it has in week's prior regarding the Georgia signal caller who has been labored with a lat injury almost all season long. Despite that, Georgia hasn't skipped a beat overall but without Daniels, the passing game has certainly taken a hit in production.

If Georgia is to have Daniels back on the field against Florida, it will certainly be a spark to the offense as they look to remain unbeaten and at No. 1 in the rankings.
