The Georgia Bulldogs fan base is known for its passion and high expectations. After Georgia’s 41-24 loss against Alabama on Saturday night, fans were calling for head coach Kirby Smart’s job.

On the daily Locked On Bulldogs Podcast, Clint Shamblin and Daniel Monroe discussed the ridiculousness of calling for Smart's job. The hosts asked this key question: If you fire Kirby Smart, who do you go get that is more likely to get you over the hump against Nick Saban?

Monroe: Any time Georgia loses a game in the sport of football, whether it is to the best team in the country or to an unranked garbage can of a team, when you look at social media and when you talk to Georgia fans, you get one reaction and one reaction only, Clint. That is full-scale scorched earth, tear it down to the studs and start over. Everything is a disaster. So Clint, I’m not stating that one way or the other, I’m stating that as a fact. If you would like to dispute that Georgia fans, go on Twitter and look for yourself. Clint, is that where we are going today? Is that a warranted response? Is that where we are?

Shamblin: For better or worse, not remotely close. And look, Georgia fans, and I’m putting Georgia fans in quotes with this next point. Calling for Kirby Smart’s firing. Tell me this. Who are you going to hire that is going to get you over the hump of Nick Saban other than Dabo Sweeney? Go.
