Ghostwire Tokyo is finally out for those who pre-ordered the deluxe version of the game. But for everyone else, here is when the Ghostwire Tokyo release date is going to be.

Ghostwire Tokyo Release Date: March 25, 2022

The Ghostwire Tokyo release date is finally set: March 25, 2022! The game, which is a PlayStation 5 timed exclusive, follows the story of Akito, who gets possessed by a spirit detective named KK. Together, they try to solve the mystery of why Tokyo's citizens suddenly vanished, and what the otherworldly spirits called Visitors are doing invading the city. Equipped with both traditional weapons and supernatural powers, Akito and KK join forces to combat the spirits haunting the city.

Played in first-person, Ghostwire Tokyo feels a lot like a Bioshock game. You rely on both guns and melee weapons while also using KK's spirit powers to exorcise the supernatural beings found in Tokyo. The trailers so far have painted a vibrant and lively Tokyo, infested with equally-fearsome ghosts and spirits. The new showcase also presented gameplay footage, showing us a particular mission in the game. Doom 2016 combat engineer Shinichirō Hara also joined Tango Gameworks to guide the team on how to make action-oriented combat, so the gameplay is just as exciting as the world and premise are.

Whether or not Ghostwire Tokyo turns out to be a great game, it will still be remembered for being one of the last few Bethesda-published games that came out as a timed exclusive first on a PlayStation console. It's also one of the most-anticipated games of this year, with players waiting for the game since 2019. For those who cannot wait any longer, players who pre-order the Deluxe Edition of the game will get bonus digital content as well as three-day early access, allowing players to load the game and start playing on March 22, 2022.

Pre-orders for Ghostwire: Tokyo are available now on the PlayStation Store, Bethesda.net, Steam, Epic Game Store, and other participating retailers. Aside from the three-day early access bundled with pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition, all players who pre-order will receive a Hannya Outfit to wear in-game.
