The New York Giants and free agent cornerback James Bradberry have agreed to a three-year, $45 million deal, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

According to Rapoport, New York has guaranteed $32 million of the deal for the four-year defensive back who last played for the Carolina Panthers.

The Panthers selected Bradberry in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft, and he recorded a career-best three interceptions this past season. The 26-year-old out of Samford has only missed four games in his four-year professional tenure thus far.

Last year for Carolina Bradberry totaled 51 solo tackles, one tackle for loss, one quarterback hit, one sack, and the three picks. Bradberry has eight total interceptions to his name in his career with the Panthers.

The Giants have begun revamping their defense on the NFL's first day for free agency on Monday, starting with an earlier announcement today where Leonard Williams was franchise tagged by New York. Williams, 25, was a first-round selection by the New York Jets but traded mid-season in 2019 to their MetLife Stadium co-tenant, where he played the remaining eight games. Williams has yet to prove to be an impact player on defense, but Giants general manager Dave Gettleman sees the USC product as a part of the G-Men's future.

The Giants are also interested in linebacker Blake Martinez, a free agent who last played for the Green Bay Packers. It's unknown whether the money spent on acquiring Bradberry will interfere in their pursuit of Martinez or not.
