Odell Beckham Jr. may no longer be in tow, but that does not mean the New York Giants receivers are not feeling confident about themselves heading into 2019.

Just ask Cody Latimer, who thinks the Giants receiving corps can be special this coming season:

“Anybody can get the ball,” Latimer said, according to Paul Schwartz of The New York Post. “You’re open, you don’t get it, that means somebody else is getting it and you’re hoping they make a play. We got an unselfish room in there. We don’t really care or actually don’t talk about it at all, who’s getting the ball. It’s a group effort. The group can be dominant, period.”

Latimer joined New York for the 2018 campaign, but he played in just six games before hitting the injured reserve list due to a hamstring injury. When he was on the field, he logged 11 catches for 190 yards and a touchdown.

The 26-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Indiana University, was originally selected by the Denver Broncos in the second round (56th pick overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Latimer never lived up to expectations with the Broncos, totaling just 35 receptions for 445 yards and three scores during his four-year stint with the club.

But now, with Beckham gone, Latimer will likely have a bigger opportunity with the Giants going into next season. Of course, it's going to be hard for New York's receivers to be “dominant” without Beckham's presence, but at least they are thinking positively.

The Giants' receiving corps is led by Sterling Shepard and Golden Tate.
