New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones' status for Week 13 has been something of a question mark after Jones suffered a hamstring injury last weekend.

It initially looked like Jones would almost certainly be ruled out for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks. But multiple insiders also reported there was a chance Jones could play. He returned to practice Thursday, though he did not participate.

Although Giants head coach Joe Judge has not ruled Jones out, the team listed him as doubtful on Friday, per ESPN's Field Yates.

Colt McCoy would get the start under center if Jones cannot play.

Jones was rolling along just fine for the majority of the team's win over the Cincinnati Bengals last weekend. But he came up gimpy after a seven-yard run in the third quarter, and voluntarily came out of the game one play later.

The 23-year-old attempted to reenter the game on the team's next drive, but he could not put any weight on his right leg. New York still held on to take the lead in the NFC East.

Of course, McCoy and the Giants could have their hands full against a high-scoring Seahawks team that has also begun to find a groove on the defensive end of the football.

McCoy has made just three starts since 2015, with his last coming as a member of the Washington Football Team in a loss to the New England Patriots last year.

The Giants would like to keep their place atop the division, but they will not endanger Jones' long-term health if he has too much discomfort. New York will hope McCoy can provide serviceable play in his stead.
