The New York Giants made the decision to move to rookie quarterback Daniel Jones as their starter ahead of a big Week 3 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After an 0-2 start, the Giants have a good chance to pick up a big win against an inconsistent Tampa Bay team.

Eli Manning won't be the quarterback in New York. It is the start of a new era of Giants football with the No. 6 overall taking over the helm. Fans could not be more excited and it is showing in plenty of different ways.

One of those ways is jersey sales, as Jones has seen his jersey sales explode since being named the starter. According to a report from the New York Post, Daniel Jones jersey sales have exploded by 500 percent.

More Jones jerseys were sold on Tuesday than during the prior two weeks combined. He’s the highest selling NFL player who has yet to actually play in a regular-season game.

Pat Shurmur made the tough decision on Tuesday and it will be interesting to see how the rookie performs this week. Tampa Bay doesn't have the best defense, so it will be good to get him out on the field against them. He showed flashes in the preseason, but the regular season is a different beast.

All of that being said, Jones is going to be entertaining to watch this week. Hopefully, he can come through with a big performance and help his jersey sales take an even bigger spike.
