A big reason why the New York Giants opted to take Duke's Daniel Jones over Ohio State's Dwayne Haskins with the sixth overall pick of the NFL Draft back in April was because of Jones' mobility, an attribute that Haskins does not possess.

Well, apparently, Jones has already made a great impression with his ability to move around at Giants minicamp.

“Oh man, he pulled that thing and kicked the knees up, it was good,” wide receiver Sterling Shepard said, according to the Giants' official team website. “I knew we were going to get the defense on that, but yeah, he looked great running. … I’ve heard a little bit about him in college, and I’ve seen some tape on him running. He crossed somebody up — I forgot which team it was in college — but he was carving them up pretty good on his feet.”

New York head coach Pat Shurmur added that no one could hit Jones and said that those types of plays where the rookie is able to tuck the ball in and make plays with his legs are “always available to us.”

Of course, that's only if Jones ends up starting under center at some point in 2019, as Eli Manning is currently the Giants' starting signal-caller. Now, if New York falls out of the playoff race early on in the season, it is very possible we could see Jones sooner rather than later, but so long as the Giants are in contention, Manning will be the starter.

Still, it's good to see Jones' athletic ability on full display.
