Since being released by the Dallas Cowboys, star wide receiver Dez Bryant has been quite vocal about where he wants to spend the next chapter of his career. He has had his eyes fixated on the opportunity to ink a deal with an NFC East team in order to be able to play against the Cowboys twice a year.

Among those possible options is the New York Giants, who have been a major divisional rival to Dallas over the years. According to Mike Fisher of CBS Sports, Bryant voiced much praise toward the Giants' current group of offensive talent.

“The Giants,” he says, “got a helluva defense, they're going to pay OBJ (fellow wideout and pal Odell Beckham Jr.), so coming back. Playing with him, Sterling (Shepard) … the tight end (Evan Engram), (QB Eli) Manning? Crazy. … They draft (Penn State running back Saquan Barkley with the No. 2 overall pick)? That'd be crazy!”

There may be questions concerning Odell Beckham Jr.'s future in New York, but the wide receiver position isn't an area the team is lacking talent. The Giants currently have a plethora legitimate receiving options in Beckham Jr., Sterling Shepard and Brandon Marshall to go along with rising star tight end Evan Engram.

What doesn't make this scenario realistic at this point is that the team only possesses just over $5 million salary cap space, which wouldn't be in the ballpark of what Bryant may be looking to land on his next deal. Bryant's addition would provide New York with a proven wideout that is still highly productive, but the financial situation of the team makes his addition bleak at this point.

The pairing of Beckham Jr. and Bryant could give the team the best tandem in the league while helping lift the team back into playoff contention. This is a possibility that could be on the table, but may be unlikely to come fruition.
