Young Eli Apple isn't thinking any more negative thoughts. Oh, no, the kid is now focused on “being more positive” as he moves forward with his NFL career.

The third-year New York Giants cover man admitted his positive thoughts on Monday via Dan Salomone of the team's official website.

“I’m definitely excited,” Apple said, via the team’s website. “I think we all are because it’s an aggressive defense and we’re attacking guys. I can’t wait for game days. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”

Apple, 22, is still extremely young for a two-year player entering just his third season.

The Ohio State product was the Giants first-round selection back in 2016, 10th overall. This means incredible expectations were thrust on the kid—especially since his mom immediately entered the spotlight as well.

Through two years, all has been rough. Not only has Apple performed horribly on-field, but he's found himself in numerous run-ins with others, especially teammates and coaches. Landon Collins, Giants safety and Apple's secondary colleague, was the top individual who clashed with the young corner.

Entering the 2018 NFL season, Eli Apple and the entire New York Giants organization hope the third times the charm.
