In a wide-ranging interview with GQ Magazine, Jacksonville Jaguars star cornerback Jalen Ramsey had a lot to say about many of NFL quarterbacks. Most of it was negative criticism toward several notable signal-callers around the league.

Among those was New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning, with Ramsey stating “I won't say Eli's good.” Manning was asked about Ramsey's quote Wednesday, initially electing to ignore the comment before offering a jokingly verbal jab back, according to Scott Thompson of Sportsnet New York.

When told of Ramsey's criticism, where Ramsey said “I won't say Eli's good,” Manning first said “no” about responding before quipping, “who?”

Although Manning has decided to avoid delving into the comments, his little remark at the end could get another response from Ramsey. This should at the very least add a little spice to their Week 1 matchup when the Jaguars head up to Metlife Stadium to take on the Giants. It should provide even more motivation for the 23-year-old to put together a stout performance beyond just covering star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

It should be noted that Ramsey's stance is likely based on Manning's performance over the last couple of years. The 37-year-old has played like his best years are well behind him, as he struggled to play with any level of consistency in 2017. He briefly lost the starting job for the first time in his career this past season while he experienced a significant drop off in production across the board.

Ultimately, this adds another layer to what should be an exciting season-opener between two teams looking to start off the 2018 campaign on the right foot.
