The New York Giants started to fire front-office folk a few days before the Cleveland Browns. Yet, here we are, with the Browns having hired the man, John Dorsey, the Giants were apparently all hot and bothered in wanting to get.

According to multiple reports, the Giants wanted to interview Dorsey after their decision to move on from Jerry Reese at the start of the week. Oddly enough, it helped light a fire under the Browns to make both of their moves at the end of the week.

Basically, I guess, New York inspired Cleveland to work quickly.

This has clearly backfired a bit on New York, as the unintentional motivation means that the National Football League franchise won't even get to interview John Dorsey.

Sad face. I am sure with all the baseball news that happened over the weekend, folks in New York will be up in arms over not interviewing a potential general manager. After all, John Dorsey > Mike Stanton.

Clearly, I kid. Stanton is going to hit 70 dingers next season.

For whatever it is worth, Kevin Abrams will be serving as the interim General Manager for the Giants until they make a permanent hire. Expect the Giants to move on this in relative quick fashion.
