New York Giants general manager Dave Gettleman still isn't quite sure whether quarterback Eli Manning will return to the team next season.

Manning's future with the franchise was certainly a huge talking point throughout the year, with the Giants facing a crucial offseason after finishing 5-11 overall in Pat Shurmur's first season.

Now, the New York front office must decide how it wants to approach the situation with Manning, and it seems like there are still decisions that yet to be made on that front.

From ESPN's Jordan Raanan:

GM Dave Gettleman said they’re in the “evaluation process” and wouldn’t commit to Eli Manning returning at this point. Gettleman and Manning had an extensive “no-holds barred” conversation on Monday. Gettleman said all decisions will be in the best interest of the Giants.

Manning threw for 4,299 yards and 21 touchdowns this season to go along with 11 interceptions. He had a quarterback rating of 92.4, and overall, really didn't play all that bad.

Of course, with Manning set to enter his 16th season next year, there are obvious choices that the Giants will have to make in terms of whether or not they want to move forward with another quarterback under center.

The team has talented playmakers such as Saquon Barkley and Odell Beckham Jr. in place right now, and to make a move back up the NFC ladder, there has to be enough quality help around them.

There's no doubt that the decision on Manning will be one that will decide how quickly the Giants can get back on track.
