New York Giants wideout Golden Tate may not play in Week 9 against the Washington Football Team despite being completely healthy.

According to Ralph Vacchiano of SNY, it's possible that Tate won't play versus the Washington Football Team due to the incidents which have taken place since the Giants lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 8 on Monday Night Football.

On Wednesday, Tate was not present for the Giants' walkthrough. This is after his wife ripped New York for not giving the ball more to Tate, who also liked some tweets on Twitter which stated the Giants needed to target him more.

The Giants tried to trade Golden Tate at the trade deadline. It appears the one-time Super Bowl champion would have been better off somewhere else.

Tate has 22 receptions on the season for 226 yards and two touchdowns. He hasn’t had more than seven targets in a game this season and always looks frustrated when the cameras are on him.

The Giants are 1-7 on the season. They are in last place in the NFC East standings and won't make the playoffs.

It's going to be interesting to see what New York winds up doing with Tate. If he doesn't play in Week 9, that will be a huge story to follow in the Big Apple, especially since Tate is not injured.

Since entering the NFL in 2010 out of Notre Dame, Tate has caught 682 balls for 8,116 yards and 46 touchdowns with the Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles and Giants.
