There have been questions about New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning's passing the last few years, but after just a few practices together new wide receiver Golden Tate doesn't seem to have any questions.

“I’ve been here for about 3-4 weeks now and I’ve caught a decent amount of passes from him — the guy still spins it,” Tate said on an episode of MSG Network's MSG150, via Giants Wire. “He has a lot of velocity. He’s very accurate right now. So I’m excited to see what we can make happen.”

Tate signed a four-year contract with the Giants this offseason so Manning and Tate probably have at least a few year together. Last season Manning completed 66 percent of his passes throwing for 4,299 yards, 21 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

With Pat Shurmur calling the shots for the Giants the offense has turned into a lot of quick passes which is where Tate comes in handy. Since 2014 Tate has forced 118 missed tackles which is why he is such a good fit in this system. Tate used to play running back and he thinks that's why he's so good at making guys missed.

“My background is at running back,” Tate said. “I was recruited at running back until I stepped on campus as a receiver. I understand I’m not the biggest, but I just don’t like to get tackled. So I try to break all tackles. You just never know if any play can break for a big one, you never know what play is going to decide the game or what’s going to be a huge first down or huge touchdown. So it goes back to that I don’t know how many opportunities I’m going to get per game or per year, so I want to maximize each opportunity.”

If Manning is spinning the ball like Tate says, and Tate can break a lot of tackles maybe the Giants can win more games than people expect.
