John Mara, a co-owner of the New York Giants, said that the team better be better in 2020 and Golden Tate is confident that will happen next season. Ahead of his second season with the organization, Tate is prepared for New York to turn things around.

The veteran wideout spoke to David Diehl, a media analyst and former Giants offensive linemen, about the upcoming season in a segment on Youtube:

“Showtime loves primetime TV, but I’m just excited to get back out there and play some football. Like you said, this is my 11th season. I still feel really good … Love the direction we’re going in as an organization. I always thought that this was a Grade A organization that does everything great. Now we’ve got to put it together on the field, give out fans something to cheer loud and proud for and get back to what we know the Giants could be.”

Last offseason, Tate chose to continue his career with the Giants, signing a deal worth $37.5 million over four years. Following a suspension to begin the season, Tate finished 2019 with 676 yards and six touchdowns.

Since the Giants won a Super Bowl in 2011, they haven't had much success in the postseason. Ultimately, they've made the playoffs just once since then, losing in the Wild Card round in 2016 to the Green Bay Packers.

Patience is undoubtedly growing thin with Giants fans as they continue to have high draft picks and losing records. Despite the team's recent shortcomings, Tate believes New York can right the ship in the upcoming season.
