After serving a four-week suspension for use of performance-enhancing drugs, New York Giants wide receiver Golden Tate has rejoined the team and is ready to get back to work.

According to Giants head coach Pat Shurmur, Tate is back with the team and could be ready to get back on the field for the Week 5 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Shurmur said the following about Tate's status, via the team's Twitter account.

Although star running back Saquon Barkley is still nursing a sprained ankle which will likely keep him on the sideline for a few more weeks, the Giants are on a roll since making rookie quarterback Daniel Jones their starter under center. New York has won two games in a row against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and division rival, Washington Redskins.

The addition of Tate to the passing game will only make things that much easier for the rookie gunslinger as the tries to keep this hot streak going with a third straight win. The Minnesota Vikings defense will be a tough challenge for the Duke product, but the first-year pro might be up for the challenge with a former Pro Bowler to throw to downfield.

As for Tate, the veteran wideout will almost certainly be a bit rusty after missing the first four games of the season. Tate may need some time to get up to speed, but his presence definitely makes this team more of a threat in the passing game, especially in a game which could prove just how good this Giants squad is this season.
