The New York Giants pulled out a 13-7 win on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, despite not having an official offensive coordinator after firing Jason Garrett.

While head coach Joe Judge refused to say who will actually replace him, it appears there was one key to play-calling in Week 12: Collaboration. Freddie Kitchens made some calls, but it was pretty clear that it was a number of different coaches who came together to make things work.

“All the offensive coaches did a great job collectively,” running back Saquon Barkley said, via NJ.com.

“I know it was a collaborative effort with all the coaches on offense,” said Daniel Jones.

Judge also spoke out on how the Giants steered the ship as a group on the sidelines, rather than just one coach doing all the work:

“I thought all of those guys working together did a really good job of talking through the series, making some necessary adjustments.”

Kitchens was evidently the main man relaying plays to Jones, but the receivers coach, tight end coach, and quarterback coach all had their say in how things went down. The Giants may have only scored 13 points, but the communication between everyone helped them make the correct calls.

This could be a recipe for success moving forward.
