For the second consecutive year, the New York Giants hold a 1-5 record after six games. The Giants came away with one lowly 38-11 home loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 6.

Much of the headlines from this contest will surely center on the woes from the Giants on offense. From the 3.6 yards per play average to the four giveaways recorded, New York could not muster up much on offense against the Rams, especially as the team did not have the likes of Saquon Barkley and Kenny Golladay due to injury.

As one would expect, Giants head coach Joe Judge was far from pleased with the performance of his team. In speaking after the loss, Judge offered his takeaways from the blowout home loss, where he centered his post-game theme on accountability.

“In terms of the motivation of the team, I’m just telling you right now, we don’t have a room full of guys looking around and wondering,” Judge said. “The only ones who can make an impact and change what we’re doing are all the men in that room—the coaches, the players, that’s it.

“We’re in that submarine right now. If something happens on that submarine, there’s got to be someone on that ship to step up and save that thing. You spring a leak, someone’s got to plug that thing for you. No one’s coming. It won’t get there in time to help you if you don’t fix it yourselves.”

Judge is not throwing in the towel on the season following the Giants' 1-5 start to the campaign. The second-year head coach wants this mentality to resonate throughout the locker room.

“There’s a lot of ball left to be played,” Judge said. “Our goal every week is to go 1-0. Our goal is to get better as a team as the season progresses. That goal doesn’t change.

“The big picture is how we handle next week, how we practice, how we improve, how we prepare and how we come out and we execute. That’s where our focus has to be seven days from now.”

The Giants will now turn their attention to a home matchup with the Carolina Panthers in Week 7. Both teams are in dire need of wins at this point in the campaign.
