New York Giants head coach Joe Judge already had his work cut out trying to spark a potential resurgence in the 2020 NFL season. The restrictions placed in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has only added to the challenge of getting his team up to speed.

With New Jersey still on lockdown, the team has had to look into the prospect of potentially holding training camp elsewhere. According to SNY's Ralph Vacchiano,Judge feels it is best to take precautions:

“Hopefully in a perfect world we’re all back in NJ training sooner rather than later. But we’re planning for all sorts of hypotheticals so we’re not caught by surprise.”

The ongoing pandemic has prevented teams from getting acquainted with some of the new players they added through the 2020 NFL Draft and free agency. Fortunately, the Giants were still able to get a rookie minicamp in before making preparations for the rest of the offseason.

Judge's looming decision is certainly understandable considering he has plenty of work to do in a short amount of time to get the Giants ready for the 2020 campaign. He is clearly hoping to take full advantage of the extra practice sessions that are granted to new head coaches.

Judge is entering his first as a head coach after making his bones with the New England Patriots as a special teams coach. Although he was able to garner plenty of championship experience working under head coach Bill Belichick, it is safe to say that this is still quite the transition.
