It's a clean slate once again for the New York Giants, as the team hired Brian Daboll as the new coach. But it looks like the Giants will have to settle some off-field issues first after Daboll's hiring caused quite a stir.

The Giants are reportedly involved in a lawsuit filed by former Miami Dolphins coach Brian Flores, alleging racial discrimination in the team's hiring process. With Flores out, the Giants signed Daboll, who last served as offensive coordinator with the Buffalo Bills.

But amid the brouhaha, Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is already focused on next season. In fact, according to New York Post's Steve Serby, Jones plans to call Bills quarterback Josh Allen to ask about Daboll's style.

Jones, 24, told the Post on the impetus of calling Allen, “I think just kind of general stuff on how they made it work so well. How he went about building that relationship, and how he learned best and just made it work.

Jones also praised Allen but he made it clear he doesn't plan to be like him. He's eager to make a name for himself and lead the Giants to greater heights.

“Obviously, Josh is a great player. He’s done a lot of great things in this league, and a fun guy to watch, and a guy who’s had a lot of success. (But) my goal is not to be him, or try to emulate him. I understand I got my own skill-set, my own game, so I’ll try to be the best version of that, be the best version of myself.”

There's still a lot to unpack in what has already been an eventful offseason for the Giants. But at least, Jones already has a plan.
