People have bittersweet memories of  Kelvin Benjamin's NFL career. Many of these people once had him on their fantasy teams when he was with the Carolina Panthers. That was the stud Benjamin we all know. Some of them drafted the former Florida State Seminoles stud high in 2015 when he missed an entire season and/or made a punt on him during his coffee breaks with the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. Benjamin is reportedly signing with the New York Giants, per Michael Davis Smith of Pro Football Talk.

By the time Benjamin was traded to the Bills in 2017, he was already generally considered as a washed talent and damaged goods at the same time even though he was only still 26. His stint in Buffalo is mostly forgettable, but not a few may have kept the memory of Booger McFarland dishing out a hilarious take about Benjamin's frame during one particular Monday Night Football gig.

That's just pure savagery on the part of McFarland, who didn't know at the time that he just foretold what Kelvin Benjamin was going to be years down the road with the Giants.

Benjamin has not played in the NFL since 2018. If switching to tight end would end up resuscitate his pro career, we got to give it to the Giants for letting him do that. However, he's not expected to be among the top targets on the team. He's not even close to a TE1 status. Currently, the Giants have Evan Engram and Kyle Rudolph clearly ahead of him in the pecking order.

But if Benjamin could recapture his old form back, this time as a tight end, the Giants' passing game has a chance to be terrifying.

Who knows if Benjamin manages to pull off a Larry Donnell in the coming season?
