New York Giants legend Lawrence Taylor is one of the most competitive players in NFL history. That competitiveness on the field, mixed with extraordinary talent and drive, allowed Taylor to become one of the greatest defensive players in league history.

However, while Taylor is undoubtedly a competitor, the 10-time Pro Bowler for the Giants knows when it comes to competitiveness, another legend has him beat.

According to Taylor, NBA legend Michael Jordan is the ‘most competitive person' he has ever met.

“Of all the people I know, he’s probably the most competitive person I know,” Taylor told Steve Serby of The New York Post. “He’ll bet on a daggone 50-foot putt and goddammit, if he bets on it, nine times out of 10 he’s gonna make it.”

Jordan has been known for his competitive drive ever since he entered the league back in 1984. As a notorious gambler, the former Chicago Bulls superstar seems willing to bet on just about anything, and with skill and determination, he often wins.

“Don’t get it confused,” Taylor said. “He is trying to win every bet. He might not care, but he is trying to win every bet. Everything that is out there. He’s trying to win at all times. And there’s nothing wrong with that.”

As for Taylor, the former superstar played 13 seasons in the NFL — all for the Giants. In that time, the linebacker was named to 10 Pro Bowls and eight All-Pro First Teams. Taylor was also named AP Defensive Player three separate times throughout his illustrious career.
