Power. It's a hell of a thing, especially in the case of the NFL Draft as the team's who perform worse than others during the regular campaign, always hold more power.

The New York Giants are no different when this equation is thought of. As the owners of the No. 2 overall selection for the night of April 26, 2018, Dave Gettleman is working hard to create options. He's seemingly furthered that narrative as he and the Buffalo Bills now have a blueprint in place that would send the No. 2 overall pick to Orchard Park, New York, according to Evan Silva of Rotoworld.

It's literally the top story of this particular draft. How could it not be? The top 10 is littered with stud prospect quarterbacks. So much so that at least three and potentially as many as four or five can be chosen in that top 10.

With the Cleveland Browns owning picks one and four, one QB is gone right there. The New York Jets trade up to No. 3 solidifies another QB slot. The Denver Broncos in the five-hole is a potential landing spot for another.

That No. 2 slot where the Giants currently lay their heads is the moneymaker. In essence, they control what happens over the course of the first 10 picks and having the option of selecting a QB, a non-quarterback (maybe in the form of Bradley Chubb), or trading down with quarterback-hungry Buffalo is the top narrative now and will be until the night of April 26, 2018.

Stay tuned. Dave Gettleman is wielding his No. 2 slot power.
