New York Giants wideout Sterling Shepard is off the Injured Reserve list and will play in Week 7 against the Philadelphia Eagles, per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

Shepard suffered a turf toe injury in Week 2 against the Chicago Bears and has been out ever since.

Against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Bears, Sterling Shepard caught eight balls from Giants quarterback Daniel Jones for 76 yards. New York got its first win of the 2020 season in Week 6 against the Washington Football Team. The Giants will now look to make it two straight wins when they take on the Eagles, who are struggling on the season.

Since entering the NFL in 2016, Shepard has recorded 255 receptions for 2,938 yards and 17 touchdowns with the Giants. His best season came in 2018 when he racked up 872 yards on 66 receptions. The most touchdowns Shepard has caught in a season is eight, which came during his rookie year.

The Giants aren't going to make the playoffs this season, as they are still in the early stages of their rebuild. However, getting Shepard back is huge for Jones since the new Giants franchise QB has been a turnover machine. He needs more reliable pass catchers to throw the ball to and Shepard fits that bill.

The Giants-Eagles game is likely going to be ugly since both teams are putrid. The TV ratings of the game should be interesting since the final Presidential Debate airs on Thursday as well.
