Along with his legendary career, Tom Brady is primarily known to New Yorkers as the man that the New York Giants beat twice in the Super Bowl. Brady faced Eli Manning and the Giants in the 2008 and 2012 Super Bowls, losing both times.

Even in his retirement, New York refuses to let Brady forget that. NBC New York's Darren Hartwell wrote an article on the GOAT's announcement. The New York news site posted the article to their Twitter page, captioning it as if Brady's losses to the Giants are what made him a household name.

The news outlet highlighted “lost 2 Super Bowls to the Giants” instead of listing the endless accolades of Brady's 22 seasons in the NFL. While humorous, it is true, Brady didn't and will never beat New York in the Super Bowl. This is a pretty cool statistic that the Giants can hold on to forever.

The only other team that can say this is the Philadelphia Eagles, and they haven't been afraid to poke fun at Brady, either. NBC Sports Philadelphia's John Clark tweeted one of his top memories of the GOAT when reports came out that he was retiring.

The Eagles took home the Lombardi Trophy in an unlikely win against the Patriots in 2018, which is the last time Brady lost in the championship. Both teams have fewer Super Bowl wins in their franchise history than Brady had in 22 years, so they'll hold on to these victories as long as they can.
