The early results are in and it screams grand larceny.

According to former New York Giants champion and NFL media personality, Carl Banks, the New York Giants have been offered a package to die for in exchange for the services of one Odell Beckham Jr. The package is three consecutive first-round selections and a second and third-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

The headlines surrounding Odell Beckham Jr. this season have been never-ending. One would normally expect drama and off-the-field issues to regress as a player grows older. In OBJ’s case, the exact opposite is occurring.

First, the whole contract dispute—which is a normal way of life in this league that plays for pay—was raised. Entering the final year of his rookie deal, young Beckham Jr. has every right to demand and make as much money as humanly possible. Unlike the other three major leagues, the NFL is the one that laughably doesn’t offer guaranteed deals.

Then, the infamous video surfaced of Beckham in bed with an Instagram model, a pizza pie and what looked to be cut-up lines of cocaine and a brown cigarette of sorts. Shortly after, information surfaced regarding a lawsuit against Beckham and his camp alleging physical violence.

In four seasons and 47 games, OBJ’s piled up 4,424 yards and 87 touchdowns and 313 receptions.

Update:

Rumors have surfaced that Carl Banks’ claims of his alleged “source” amount to nothing more than a joke.

In fact, Banks himself is talking like a man who’s celebrating April Fool’s Day a little early.

Nonetheless, it’s a report from a Giants insider. Take it any way you’d like.
