The New York Giants have a new regime when it comes to the coaching staff. They recently hired Joe Judge to take over as their head coach.

With a new head coach, they will want new assistants and coordinators. It appears they have found a defensive coordinator. Or, at least they have found someone that they would like to interview. The problem is, that the coach is already on another team. Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Patrick Graham is in the sights of the Giants.

According to Mike Garafolo of GMFB, New York has asked Miami for permission to interview Graham. The defensive coordinator would simply be switching teams, the role would stay the same.

Graham is an extremely familiar face. Not only did he coach with Judge with the New England Patriots, but he was also with the Giants in 2016-17. Therefore, both Judge and the organization are familiar with him. That has to make you think this is a mutually agreed-upon candidate. Someone that both the coach and the organization have given the okay and want as a part of the new staff.

Of course, they might not even get the chance to wonder about it if the Dolphins decide not to let Graham interview. That seems highly unlikely though. Miami will probably grant the interview.

If Patrick Graham is not given the interview, or even if he is but does not get the job, it will be interesting to see who else the Giants have lined up. At the same time, if Graham does get the job, there will be a new opening in Miami. Suddenly a new search for a defensive coordinator will emerge.

Due to that, this is a news story that could sprout plenty more news in the near future.
