The New York Giants are reportedly still in trade talks with the Arizona Cardinals about possibly completing a deal for quarterback Josh Rosen.

It's no secret that the Cardinals are expected to take former Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft, and it's clear that the franchise will make him the main focus moving forward.

With several teams likely interested in acquiring him, the Giants may wind up having the best pieces to offer given the number of picks that they have in the draft.

And that's why trade discussions continue between the two teams, according to Giants beat writer Matt Lombardo.

With New York deciding to bring Eli Manning back, many wondered what route the franchise would go to find its quarterback of the future.

At this point, the Giants have plenty of options, and having two first round picks gives them the luxury of being able to leverage that into a possible deal for someone like Rosen.

While the Cardinals are moving in a different direction, Rosen has shown plenty of potential and could still be a franchise quarterback.

If Murray is indeed the top pick, Rosen will all but officially be heading elsewhere.
