It looks like some NFL teams are trying to lure Eli Manning out of retirement.

According to a report by Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman, NFL teams are attempting to bring the former Super Bowl champion out of retirement. However, the chances of an NFL team outside of the New York Giants doing so are “nil.”

The 39-year-old Manning called it a career after 16 seasons with the Giants at the end of 2019. During the 2019 season, Manning was replaced by rookie Daniel Jones as the starter. However, the veteran quarterback did manage to start the last two games of his career in December, leading the Giants to a 36-20 win over the Miami Dolphins in his last start.

While it appears Manning is done with football, there are a number of teams on the market desperate for a QB. The Chicago Bears are one of the teams that are linked to Manning. However, a reporter did suggest there is no truth to these rumors.

There's a good chance Manning will go into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He has two Super Bowl wins and ranks seventh in career passing touchdowns and passing yards.

Considering the Giants already have their franchise starter in Jones, it's hard to envision Manning suiting up again.
