So New York Giants general manager Dave Gettleman made a decision on Daniel Jones that a whole lot of people are criticizing. What's new?

On Thursday night, the Giants decided to take Duke quarterback Daniel Jones with the sixth overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft, passing on Ohio State signal-caller Dwayne Haskins, who went to New York's NFC East division rival in the Washington Redskins at No. 15.

There are a lot of reasons why the Jones pick was questionable, and Fox Sports analyst Nick Wright broke them all down on First Things First on Friday morning, saying that Jones has a very difficult road ahead of him in the Big Apple:

“If he (Daniel Jones) is successful, he will be one of one in NFL history with his statistical profile,” said Wright. “What you're asking him to do is one of the hardest things to do in sports: statistically speaking, be a better pro than you were collegiate.”

Wright went to say that not even Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is an apt comparison for Jones, as Allen, in spite of lackluster stats at Wyoming, at least had a rocket arm.

He says that the only quality he can attribute to Jones is that fact that he is close with the Manning brothers, but, obviously, just because Jones is close with Peyton Manning and Eli Manning does not mean he will become Peyton Manning or Eli Manning.

The 21-year-old is coming off of a senior campaign in which he threw for 2,674 yards, 22 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
